Just me and Chai went up Whistler during the August long weekend. We took the Gondola to the Roundhouse Lodege, and started our trip towards Russet Lake. From here, we hiked through the Musical Bumps, Piccolo Peak, Flute Peak and then Oboe Peak. We crossed the Singing pass onto the Fitzsimmons Range.

Out original idea was straight to Russet Lake. There was a cabin by the lakeside. However, before we descent to Lake Russet, we saw there were quite a few tents around the cabin. We knew it would be crowded and noisy.

We switched route to another valley, even though it was a bit longer. We camped at Aldus Lakes. They were small compared to Lake Russet, but water is crystal clean, and no one was there.
