Kenneth in his younger days
Friends will describe me as an Outdoor Geek.   Maybe you've already figured out.   Well, you're right, and not only that, when I'm not in the outdoors, I'm daydreaming about the outdoors.   No wonder this is called letsgooutdoors.com.

Years after years, I promised myself to build a website to record my outdoor and travel adventures.   During X'mas holidays in 2004, I said to myself that "This is it". I sat in front of my computer for 3 straight days, drafting the layout and framework and started picking all the digital pictures that I collected from my memorable trips. After a month of labouring, my baby LetsGoOutdoors.com was born.

I like backpacking, hiking, paddling, skiing, basically anything to do with the outdoors, summer or winter.   I enjoy most a hard day of sweating, and then rewarded by an awesome view on the mountain top, followed by a gourmet one-pot meal at camp that requires little cleaning afterwards.

Kenneth, recent years
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and I have seven sisters in my family.   Yes, you read it correctly, 7 sisters, and I am the youngest.   Can you imagine using the one and only one bathroom during those morning hours? Thanks God, those days were over !

Anyways I moved to Canada in 1994 and spent a few years in Toronto before I settled in Vancouver.   Someone asked me, "Can you imagine skiing, sailing and riding a motorcycle all in one day ?" Yes, in Vancouver you can, and I have done it.   And in late 2007, I relocated to Seattle, Washington.

I love trying on new outdoor activities that I haven't done before. This year I plan to explore more in Washington State near the South Cascades.  If I can afford the time, I want to go to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and perhaps travel to Mongolia to experience some nomad life.

Maybe we'll run into each other on the trails one of these days.  For now, enjoy my pictures on this website.   I hope I have inspired you to take on your new adventures.  Feel free to send me an email.   I'd love to hear from you.
