A brilliant idea to repurpose land use other than to build more high rise apartments in Beijing. Lots of out-dated factories in the out skirt of Beijing were converted to workshops and studios for artists. There were also exhibition halls immersed inside the district.

From painting to artworks, from sculptures to statues, they had them all. I really liked the openness of the area, a quick getaway from the concrete high-rise and polluted roadways.
