Arriving Montreal at 15°C in November, it had to be a record. Without knowing much details of the history behind Montreal, I felt somehow I was playing a historian in this trip finding little pieces of intersting history.

We visited the most touristy areas, but in some ways, I didn't feel that I had known much but to pass by. Every night back to the hotel, I started reading more and more history behind the city. From back to the colonial rule by the French, to becoming under British Rule, then to Confederation of Canada.

As we started exploring local communities within Montreal, I was very interested in the different lifestyles of the Montrealers. I then turned to search for the their local history.

Overall I found out much more about Montreal, it was lovely.
