Another gorgeous Sunday in November brought a few of us up Mt Pilchuck. It took us about 3 hours to go up to the top, where they converted a old fire lookout station
to a hike shelter. From there, you can see entire valley up to 30 miles away
The trail was well maintained all the way up. Just a little rock scrambling at the last 100 feet. On this blue sky day, it was exhilirating for each of
us to get up to the top and enjoy some views. Though it was sunny most of the time, when we got the top, it is so windy and cold that we didnt stay at the shelter
for too long. Luckily, Franklink brought the stove, and made us some hot chocolate.
ok, 3 miles to the top.
I think this is Glacier Peak.
Really cannot believe we have such a blue day in November in Washington.
Alright boys, up these boulders.
A glimpse of sunshine breaking out.
Hey man, long time no see!
Wow, you can Puget Sound from here ...
See the lookout ?
This looks more like a beach house to me !
That is Mt Rainier ....
This is Mt Baker to the north.
Cannot have enough of this ?
I wish .... it is a beach house with such a view ...
Time to leave now !
Alright, ... you want to be a forest lookout ranger back in the days ?
