It was a nice sunny warm Sunday in Vancouver. We started off around lunch time, and headed straight up to Hollyburn Ridge.
This year, snow was abundant. Along the trail, we barely found anywhere that was not covered by snow. And Cypress Resort have extended
the cross-country ski trail system to really up high.
We followed the snowshoeing trail to the end, where the cross-country ski trail turns around. We then changed gear to hike up the steepest part
of the trail.
Blue sky with a warm sun really energized us, and within 30 minutes, we were on the top. Picture here and there, and a good view of Howe Sound concluded
our day hike.
Yes, we are going up ...
But Vic already started to whine ..
Steep hill in front us ...
Vic said, "But the sign says it ends here ..."
This little dog was sprinting on the snow .... downhill!
Looking downhill half way up..
Taking a break here ... but sorry no wiew
Still a lot of soft powder
The trail was so packed ....
New snow from last night
Last stretch before we got to the top
I wish I had my ski ....
Reaching the top of Hollyburn.
Just in time to see you.
View of Howe Sound
What goes up must come down.
Fresh snow everywhere ...

Hmmmm... should we just slide down instead ?
Are we sure this is real ?
Last stretch ....you can walk a straight line from here .... and no one will care ..
