I left Yosemite and started driving back towards San Francisco. I stopped over at Berkeley, visited UC Berkeley. For
some reasons, I like the area although it is considered a not-that-safe neighbourhood. I had lunch there and toured the campus for a while.
I then went to downtown SFO, and go for the Alcatraz Tour. That day was the first day the tour changed the cruise boat operator. It changed the
launch from Pier 39 to Pier 33. I was a bit disappointed that it was very unorganized. Pier 33 is like a abandoned dock, very dirty with lots of
very resilient flies. Yes, I mean "flies". The moment I started lining up, there were at least 10 flies resting on my shirt, my bag and my jeans.
It was so ridiculous. Everyone was complaining about this. It got worse when we got on board. Even the wind was blowing at us, those flies were
endlessly surrounding us as if we were some delicious leftover BBQ ribs.
And finally we got the Rock, it was a true "wow" view approaching the island. We could also see Golden Gate Bridge from there. The most
awesome view was to see downtown SFO from the island. How ironic is that ?? You need to be in a prison to enjoy the downtown view of
San Francisco. Actually, it is true that those prison who stationed on the island have the best view of SFO. At the same time
those inmates have to bear the constant pain of starring at the freedom that downtown SFO can offer. So, it is fair enough to say, you want
the best view, you got to either be a very good prison guard, or very bad prisoner.

Do have some wear and tear for tourists to see.
This the view you have if you commit some serious crime back in the 1950s.

It has been a prison since 1909.
Come on in, welcome to my new home.
Wish I have a fisheye lens, and more time and a thick coat to take this picture. I was so cold at that time.
Al Capone stayed here in this cell!
ok, .... what's wrong with this apartment, comfy, clean ....
#-storey concrete structure with reinforced steel columns, it's a nice condo.
ok, I'm gonna put an offer on this one.
Freeze, spread your legs! Sergent, go search this Chinese dude.
See, the condominium even has its own playground, how nice ?
Maybe not. You don't wanna stand here for too long.
From here, it looks more like a library or museum.
That day the sky was so blue, practically every outdoor angle will work well.

This is the solitary cell in Alcatraz.
See how seriously it is, got steel-plated floor.

Let me take a look at this locking mechanism, I think I can open it.
Dumb ass, they are already open.
Some prisoners had good time here to develop his drawing skills.
This is a fake decoy that some inmates made from scrap so that they can work on the escape routes.
