It was a tiring day after visiting Yuan Ming Yuan and Summer Palace, but I pushed on to see the Olympic Venues.

The Subway leading to the venues was very nice, new train and new station since 2008. I noticed that most tourists will come by tour bus, leaving the subway very quiet. When we got there, it was just after sunset. The smog in the city together with the diming daylight created a mirage of gray sky. The venues weren't attractive at all.

But when they turned on the lighting, everyone expressed a change of emotions. The Water Cube was slowly glowed to its glorious blue, and the Nest was like being baked in a Red hot refinery. Awesome !!
