Water fall up the Kamikaze Trail

A cold and wet forecast didn't deter us to go Kamikaze Trail to Mt Teneriffe. The trail is similar to Mailbox's. It started on an old logging road, which turned into a wide trail through the dense forest.

We noticed that there is a new trail being built next to the original one, being more direct but steep. We followed part of the original trail up to the waterfall. From there, the terrain became steeper and we saw first sign of snow past 3500' feet.

As we went up further in elevation, we saw powdery fresh snow on the trail, deeper and deeper. Some section got up to knee deep. Wonderful !!

We reached the ridgetop and were very careful because it is a steep drop at the ridge.
