Welcome Pass is not that welcoming in winter. Very steep grade going up. The day we were going up, we dont have much snow accumlated on the lower elevation, the trail is very obivous, little packed ice but very safe to traverse uphill. Until there was a section of constant uphill for about 1 hour straight. Me and Nelson were carrying some heavy equipment.

But the view on top worth the hardship going up, almost unlimited view, we stopped there and celebrated the V-day.
