Enchantments Lakes, an alpine area surrounded by icy lakes. The weekend weather was perfect. It was clear and blue for 70 hours straight. We didn't see any clouds until day 3. Our epic journey started on the Snow Lake Trail. It was very long and boring under the sun, until we reached nada, where the breeze came in through the lake.

We arrived at Snow Lake after 5 hours of hiking. We found a lake front property and planted our campsite. We had a great view of the lake, took a bath, enjoyed the sun. We even took a nap in our tent, mostly because we wanted to avoid mosquitoes. It was a dry awesome day, no sign of rain, no sign of moisture at all. We even sleep under the stars with the fly on.

Our 2nd day up was very beautiful, passing through steep terrain on granite rocks, swifting through lakes filled with icy waters and jumping across streams with a heavy packs. We ended setting up our camp at Inspiration Lake on a hugh flat boulder on the water. We then pushed on to hike up to Aasgard Pass. The higher we went, the more icy beautiful lakes we found. We stopped at Aasgard Pass for a break and witnessed a rock fall on the Dragontail Peak, where the rock fall just missed 2 mountaineers by 20 feet or so.

We went back down to camp after enjoying the break at the Pass. When we got back to camp, we met a herd of mountain goats. They were quite friendly, very used to human being around. After we had dinner, Brian started having stomach problems. From then it became a full-on diaherrea. Luckily after some imodium treatment and a night of no drink. It subsided the following morning.

The original plan was to camp one more night, before we pulled out. However, both of us felt no energy to do one more night, and decided to just hike out all the way. We finished out 12 miles downhill hike in 6 hours and drove home.
