Are we in spring time ? or ...

Though it was not a perfect day for hiking, it turned out to be an interesting hike. It was cold in the morning, considering we were already past mid-April. The steep and long switchbacks warmed us up very quickly. The trail was quite well maintained. There are a few viewpoints along the trail where it opens a view to the Sound.

What amazed us was that half way up the trail, we started seeing traces of snow, and then more and more snow was seen covering patches of the slopes. It was not spring, it looked like the first snow in fall.

It took us not long to reach the Dome, overlooking the valley and the Bay.
