Just a short day trip to Brighton, a beach town on the south coast of England. It was about an hour train ride from Central London. A short walk from the train station brought you on the beach.

I was lucky to visit on a quiet day, kind of breezy. Only a few people were on the beach, not sun-bathing, just resting. I strolled along the pebble beach for a while, and sat down for a snack.

Brighton Pier is a giantic structure built where about 100 metres into the ocean. They have an game arcade, restaurants and lots of souvenir shops.

If they name this place the same 1000 years ago, I don't think the owner's head will stay on long.
