Adams River
We drove to Kamloops and made a stop before we arrived at Adams River. It took a while to figure out the way to get there. There is festival every spawning season at the site. Even though this year was not a big year, there was still a well managed information booth.

We started off at the side stream, watching the sockeye swimming upstream. We spotted a few jumping high, but unable to capture it in my camera. As we walked upstream, most red sockeye were spotted in the resting pool.

Some dead sockeye flowed down the river. We got to a river bend, and saw a big load of sockeye waiting there. It was like blood in the river, bloody red !! Sadly, we started to see more and more dead sockeye knowing that it was their destiny after giving birth to their next generation.
